Filming a Chase Scene in Venice - Feasible or a Nightmare?

I’m writing a script that involves a chase scene through the canals and narrow streets of Venice. I’m trying to determine if it’s actually feasible to film something like that without completely disrupting the city or running into insurmountable logistical challenges. Is it even possible to get the necessary permits for such a sequence? What are some of the biggest obstacles to consider? Any insights from filmmakers who have attempted similar scenes in Venice? What about equipment and the safety of all involved? I’d like to know if it’s a dream or reality.

A Venice chase scene sounds incredibly exciting, but also incredibly challenging! Realistically, it’s going to require a lot of careful planning, permits, and coordination. Getting the permissions alone could be a long and complex process. You’ll need to consider the impact on local residents and businesses. A Production company Venice Italy will have experience navigating these challenges and securing the necessary approvals. They can also help you devise practical solutions for capturing the action without disrupting the city. Safety is also paramount. Think about how you will transport equipment and keep everyone safe in a crowded and potentially hazardous environment. It can be done, but it will require a lot of preparation.
